Ingredients:
- 4 boneless chicken breasts
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 4 hamburger buns
- Lettuce, tomato slices, pickles (optional)
- Mayonnaise or your favorite sauce
Instructions:
- In a bowl place chicken breasts and pour buttermilk over them, let it sit for at least an hour.
- In a small shallow dish place flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper.
- Prepare oil in a frying pan to be hot.
- Apply pre-cooked seasoned flour to the marinated chicken and make sue it is coated properly.
- Submerge the chicken pieces in hot oil and fry evenly to a good cowboy brown and cook chicken to about ¾ through, which may take 5-7 minutes per side.
- For the burgers, toast the hamburger buns and then layer lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mayo on it.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
