Chicken Parm Meatballs

Chicken meatballs that are full of flavour and accompanied with Marinara sauce and parmesan cheese. This sauce can be served over spaghetti for that authentic Italian meal!
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- A food network chef recommended this recipe of 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese with one pound of spaghetti.
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to your desire
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- ¼ cup of the shredded mozzarella cheese
- Basil leaves for garnishing should also be fresh.
Instructions:
- Turn the oven on and set at 400 degrees Fever (200 degrees Celsius). Preheat a baking sheet, preferably one made out of dark metallic, and grease it by laying a sheet of parchment paper on it.
- In a large bowl mix ground chicken with breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese egg, milk, basil, oregano, salt, pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Divide the mixture into meatballs, about 1. This is approximately circular with a diameter of 5 inches and should be placed on the baking sheet already prepared.
- Cook meatballs for approximately 20 minutes or till thoroughly done.
- In a large sauté pan, warm marinara sauce through over medium heat. Include the cooked meatballs then allow to cook for five more minutes.
- Top with mozzarella cheese to the meatballs and sauce. Cut the cheese into thin slices and spread it on the chicken; cover and cook until cheese melts.
- Season and bring the sauce to a boil, then pour it over the cooked meatballs and cook further for some ten minutes The meatballs should be served with the spaghetti and garnished with fresh basil.
